Summer League Overview

  • The program is open to boys and girls in 4k-8th grade.
  • Teams are broken down by grade into 5 divisions: K(4k &5k), A(1st & 2nd), AA(3rd & 4th), AAA(5th & 6th), Majors(7th & 8th) (Child's current grade at the time of registration). 
  • Practices & games are held at various parks throughout Pewaukee surrounding communities
  • Team practices are held 2x per week starting on mid-April on weeknights and weekends (practice dates are dependent on the team your child is place on, the coach's availability and the availability of practice fields)
  • Regular Season games start mid-May and each team plays 1 to 2 games per week
  • Most games are scheduled on weeknights at 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. (games rescheduled due to weather may fall on the weekend)
  • All teams participate in their age group's end-of-season tournament, mid-July,  except for 4k & 5k
  • Player registration fees range from $160 to $200.  Financial assistance is available.  Contact [email protected] for more info.
  • A $10 discount is available to families with multiple children participating in the Summer League
  •  A $25 late fee will be added for registrations starting 3/17 
  • Registration will remain open through 4/1
  • A $35 cancellation fee will be charged for all registration cancellations prior to 5/1.  A $75 cancellation fee will be charged for all registration cancellations after 5/1.
  • AA, AAA, Majors Head Coaches will receive a free registration.  You must signup as a coach during registration and be selected as a coach for this discount to be applied
  • Coaches & league organizers meet prior to the season in attempt to distribute player talent equally among the teams in each age division; Returning players can generally expect to have new coaches & new teammates each season
  • Parent volunteer coaches are needed! (Children are automatically assigned to their parent's team)
  • Players are required to participate in their respective age division. Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances -- Head Coaches with multiple children in the program may qualify
  • Games will be scheduled Monday through Friday based on field availability when the schedule is put together
  • Most teams will play between 1 and 2 games per week
  • Head coaches will sign up for a set, weekly practice time, when the sign up sheet goes out. All coaches will be required to sign up for 1 weekday practice AND 1 weekend day practice. Times of practices will be determined on what time slot the head coach signs up for.

Important Dates for Upcoming Season

  • Week of April 8, Summer league draft for divisions AA, AAA, and Majors
  • Week of April 8, Summer director will form K and A division teams and notify coaches of their teams
  • Week of April 22, Summer league practices begin
  • Week of May 19, Summer league regular season begins
  • June 15, Summer league picture day
  • Weekend of July 19/20, Summer League tournament

Uniforms and Equipment

  • Pewaukee Youth Baseball provides each team with  catching gear and baseballs
  • Each player receives a team hat, uniform jersey and matching socks
  • Players are expected to provide their own pair of baseball pants, baseball helmet, bat and baseball glove (general purpose-type gloves are recommended over position-specific gloves like first base and outfield)
