The Jr. Pirate Program consists of one to two teams per age group depending on the numbers AND evaluations. (U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14).  

  • The goal of the JP program is to develop players to play at the highest level possible. Our goal is also to ensure a positive and fun environment for your athlete to develop.
  • The program is open to kids entering 1-8 grades.
  • This is a competitive program that requires substantial commitment on the part of players and their parents; Playing time is not guaranteed! 
  • Players must reside in Pewaukee or attend a school in Pewaukee. If you do not meet these criteria, you may contact the JP Coordinator to determine eligibility.
  • Time commitment is typically one time a week in January and February twice a week in March and April and 3 times a week, or more, in May, June and July.
  • A team tryout/player evaluation day is scheduled at the end of each summer; Teams are selected and player notifications are mailed within several weeks of the tryout (players selected to a team are required to submit a non-refundable deposit to reserve a roster spot)
  • Indoor workouts begin in January/February when we start to build the foundation for a successful season. Players are expected to make the majority of their indoor workouts.
  • The regular season begins in early-May and runs through the end of July; Teams play 1-3 league games per week vs. teams throughout southeastern Wisconsin (50% of the games involve travel to other communities). Teams also play 4-6 weekend tournaments.Teams play from 30-50 games in a season.
  • Parents and players participate and volunteer for the Pewaukee Jr. Pirate Tournament which takes place annually on the 3rd weekend in June. This is the program's significant fundraising event -- Parents are assigned various responsibilities throughout the weekend. Participation is mandatory for parents. 
  • Costs are determined each year, but generally are around $450-$750 depending on age. Older teams play more games and train more.
  • Additional costs/fundraising  can be incurred for teams traveling out of town for tournaments. U12 teams will play one out of state tournament. Past U12 teams have gone to Cooperstown, Omaha, St. Louis, Illinois, Field of Dreams and other destinations. Other teams may also decide to travel out of state.
