Tryouts for the 2011 Pewaukee Junior Pirates are open to all kids U10-U14 (4th-8th grade) on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the WCTC baseball field. Click here for more details.

The Jr. Pirate Program consists of five teams. One team in each age group (U10, U11, U12, U13 and U14). Teams are selected after a tryout/evaluation. Team selections/invitations are made shortly after player evaluations. This is a competitive program and playing time is not guaranteed. There is a substantial commitment needed to participate in the program.

Teams will play in a league. Currently, all teams play in the Wisconsin Youth Baseball State League(WYBSL). There are twenty league games (2 – 3 times/week) per season. The regular season begins in early May and runs until late July. Typically half the games are at “home” with the remainder around Southeastern Wisconsin. Additionally,each team will play about four (4) weekend tournaments including our own Jr. Pirate tournament, which is the third weekend in June. Parents are required to work at the tournament.

Practices begin early in the year (January/February) with indoor workouts, and as the year progresses, the frequency increases. When practices move outdoors they occur at least two times per week. Skills repetition and practice must also occur outside of the formal practices.

A non-refundable deposit is required in the fall prior to the season to reserve the invited players place on the roster.
